Family Violence: It’s Your Business (A Workplace Toolkit) is not intended to replace the advice and services of professionals such as counsellors, lawyers or healthcare providers. We have developed the kit based on current research and information about family violence and from the work of the Family Violence and The Workplace Research Team and other leading experts. Any reference to legislation should be considered general in nature and scope. Laws change from time to time.

This guide is offered to employers and others with the understanding that <Àxml:namespace prefix = st1 />Fredericton Chamber of Commerce and the Workplace Violence Committee, as well as the Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunswick who were contracted to prepare the materials, and the authors, editors and contributors are not providing legal or professional advice. Employers using this kit should seek legal advice with respect to specific legal matters.

We hope the information and resources contained in this Toolkit are useful to you. The enclosed “Family Violence Services” fact sheet will help you to locate and consult with professionals providing specific services within New Brunswick.

Each individual or organization may order up to 5 hard  copies of the Workplace Toolkit at no charge.  Should you require larger quantities, we ask a contribution of $10 per Toolkit to cover further printing cost. However, we encourage you to download as many copies as you’d like from the website at www.toolkitnb.ca on the left hand menu under -- Orders and Downloads.

Should you need to alter, adapt or make use of this information in any other format than that of the Toolkit, we ask that you contact us for appropriate referencing and recognition at info@toolkitnb.ca.
