The New Brunswick D/IPV in the Workplace Committee is a group made up of partners representing government, post-secondary, business, unions and community. Our mandate is to develop, manage and distribute resources to address domestic violence in the workplace.
The Domestic/Intimate Partner Violence and the Workplace Committee of New Brunswick would like to thank Joy Mighty and the research team at the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre, Family Violence and the Workplace, for their ground-breaking and inspiring research into this topic in the late 1990s. Their research inspired community-oriented action, which took the form of creating a toolkit for employers and employees that would be managed, distributed and promoted by a committee made up of dedicated community, government, post-secondary and business partners. The Committee would also like to thank the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, the Fergusson Foundation and the Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunswick (PLEIS-NB) for their original work in putting the first version of the toolkit together.
The work of this new toolkit and website relaunch would not be possible without funding from the Women’s Equality Branch of Executive Council Office (Government of New Brunswick), the Fergusson Foundation, and the following dedicated individuals:
